Calgary Giveaway for Rush Restaurant Gift Certificate

This is our third day in celebrating S. Pellegrino® Almost Famous Chef® Competition that will be taking place at Cirillo’s Culinary Academy in Toronto on Monday, February 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET. The winner announcement will be made at 8:45 pm. ET. Culinary students from seven participating schools across Canada are competing for a chance to become the next star of the gastronomic world at this event. The students are given just two hours to create their unique signature dish. A panel of judges critiques them on every meticulous detail from taste, texture and aroma of the dish, to presentation. The assembled judging panel, local media, chefs and invited guests will have the opportunity to sample all of these dishes during the tasting reception. The winner will go on to compete at the 11th annual Finals Competition in Napa Valley in March, with competitors from 75 schools across North America.

Here is the gorgeous chef jacket the I received for being involved with this competition. I am so thrilled to have received this!! I will model it for you at a later date when I make a cocktail using S. Pelegrino.

 

Being involved with this competition I have been given a dinner for two, $200 gift card to Rush Restaurant, 100, 207 9th Ave. SW, Calgary, AB. What a fabulous prize for my local readers.     I would start with the petite lettuce leaves followed by the “foie” stuffed scallops……….then I would totally order the Lobster Agnolotti…………….then I would fall to the floor very full but extremely happy!!!!!!

    I have heard great things about the aged beef tenderloin at Rush and have wanted to try it for quite some time. I am also pretty interested in trying the foie stuffed scallops.

    Having only heard great reviews, I’ve been wanting to try Rush for a long time. As I haven’t been yet, I would definitely have the Chef’s tasting menu if I win.

    I would start with the oysters and then follow it with the BC trout. I would absolutely love to give this restaurant a try, deciding was almost too hard! I may just have to order a bunch of small plates for the whole table so I can try all of it.

    If I were to win this gift certificate to Rush my husband and I would start off with the rush ceviche, he would probably have the 45 day aged heritage angus beef tenderloin and I would love to try the lobster agnolotti. Is there dessert!???

    Wow, thanks for the fantastic giveaway!! I’ve never been to Rush before but the menu looks absolutely fantastic.

    I would definitely try the Ricotta-Spinach Ravioli if I was lucky enough to win a gift card… it sounds amazing (pancetta and pomegranate!) so I really hope I win! :) Fingers crossed!!

    If I won this giveaway I would have to splurge on the 45 day aged heritage angus beef tenderloin. I think properly aged beef is one of the most delicious things you can eat and I would love to try it at Rush!
