DAVIDsTEA Giveaway

We are over 1,000 likes on our FB page and I want to celebrate with this giveaway. If you have been following my blog you will know by now that I love DAVIDsTEA. This is a fabulous company out of Montreal,  Quebec, Canada. Their warm and inviting teas are as fabulous as their customer service and head office. A rare find!! They have been very gracious to send me this beautiful collection of teas called “The Foodie Collection”. There are not only teas in this gorgeous boxed set but recipes!!! Fabulous ideas to take your favorite tea to a new level. As they say “there are hundreds of ways to experiment wit tea. It makes great cakes, cookies, main courses, marinades – you name it”. Just like I did with the amazing DAVIDsTEA Creme Brulee I had made not that long ago.

In this collection you will receive Coco Chai Rooibos, Forever Nuts, Hot Lips/Organic, Lapsang Souchong Star/Organic and Pure Chai/Organic. Plus recipe cards to go with each and I have also included a beautiful cotton twill apron to go along with the tea collection. Over a $50 value in all!!

  1. I make a sweet tea brine for soaking my cut up chicken in overnight. I use tea, salt, sugar, and lemons. The next day dip chicken in an egg wash, roll it in seasoned flour, and fry it. Yummy, tender, and oh so good!

    I love to use fruity green teas in my morning smoothies instead of juice – that it’s caffeinated also kills two birds with one stone.. I can skip the morning coffee!

  7. One of my favourite ways to use tea in cooking is by making tea eggs. They are a traditional chinese snack that uses black tea, but I have used other kinds of teas for it and it is delicious!     ingredients: 1 cup flour ~ 2 eggs ~ .5 cup sugar ~ 3 tbsp butter ~ .25 cup milk ~ 1 tsp baking powder ~ pinch of salt ~ 1tsp vanilla ~ lose leaf tea

  21. Heres a simple way to cook with tea.
    When making instant oatmeal I use brewed tea instead of plain boiled water to add extra flavour to my breakfast.

    Simply make your favorite oatmeal cookies and add a dry cup of DAVIDs TEA “forever nuts” for extra flavour!!!

    You won’t regret it!

  29. I can’t say I have ever cooked with pre-made teas other than making drinks with them- but I use herbs in all of my cooking!

  32. I love to use tea to flavour sugars and/or liquids to use in baking — ie: earl grey infused soymilk or strong chai tea as liquid additions. Or jasmine sugar for sugar cookies, very subtle and delicious.

  33. My favourite way to cook with tea is in baked goods, such as cookies & muffins. My favorite tea inspired recipe so far is creme caramel tea in chocolate chip cookies sprinkled with salt!! Delicious!!!

  34. My favourite way to cook with tea has to be simply using it in place of water in my baking. Blueberry tea infused banana muffins? Yes please!!!!!!!
