Mesa Grill, Bobby Flay’s Restaurant in Caesar’s Las Vegas
I recently went to Las Vegas to celebrate my 50th birthday with three of my best friends!! What a fabulous weekend we had with so many laughs. Eating, drinking and being merry!! We went to shows like Menopause The Musical (so very funny, my face hurt). One of the hi-lited was taking in a live concert seeing Santana was truly amazing!!! One of the restaurants we ate at was Mesa Grill, Bobby Flay’s Restaurant in Caesar’s Las Vegas which was my pick and fit the bill for all of us.
It is a big lively restaurant with great service and fabulous food. We started off with cocktails and I was absolutely starving so I asked for a basket of bread. I was thrilled with the corn muffins. Moist and flavourful but a bit crumbly. Sorry, the pictures aren’t of the best quality. All I had was my small camera and of course bad lighting and it’s Vegas, need I say more.
All about the Food!
Next came the appetizers. I had the blue corn pancake that was filled with BBQ duck. It was served with a Habanero Chile-Star Anise Sauce, out of this world!!! My friends had the yummy looking Baby Romaine Salad with a gorgeous Parmesan Crisp. Then two orders of the Tiger Shrimp and Roasted Garlic Corn Tamale. There were rave reviews coming from all sides of the table!! Next, we moved onto the entrees. I had the Fire Roasted Veal Chop which was huge (Fred Flintstone style) and delicious!!
Trisha indulged in the Yucatan Style Grouper. Jan noshed on the New Mexican Spiced Rubbed Pork Tenderloin and Karen picked a very delicious looking vegetarian option. The Cornmeal Crusted Chile Relleno which she said was fantastic. We ordered three sides which we shared family-style. They were the Roasted Corn Chipotle Aioli, Lime and Cojita Cheese, Cauliflower Gratin and Roasted Poblano and lastly the Smoked Chile Collard Greens.
Viva Las Vegas
All of our plates were completely cleaned and our meals were thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this restaurant next time you are in Vegas. It is located within Caesar’s palace, which is one of my favorite casinos. I hope you love it as much as we all did. Viva Las Vegas!!!

Great review on Mesa Grill, Tara. I loved everything from appetizer to my amazing Cornmeal Crusted Chile Relleno – it was delicious! Most of all, I loved the company! I have recommended Mesa Grill to several friends and family for their next trip to Vegas.

That new Mexican Rubbed Pork Tenderloin is one of our favorites. The recipe is on his website: http://www.bobbyflay.com/recipe.php?id=36
The only downside is it used almost a whole bottle of bourbon in the sauce.
