Another glorious summer day but we are now winding down and heading towards fall. Not sure how that has happened so fast!!! Super busy in the Noland household!!! Our home is now sold and a new one purchased. I may have to take my first break ever from blogging but it won’t be a long one. Just enough time to get in and a somewhat settled. I will keep you posted on that front.
Today we are searching through the archives of August 2012. There were a lot that I really enjoyed. Like when Tastespotting did a special banana split contest of sorts and asked us to create healthy versions. I did that with a Banana Split Smoothie. Ken was there being the amazing pie guy that he is with a Blueberry Pie and I whipped up some Saskatoon Berry Tarts. I enjoyed reminiscing about a trip, long ago to Fiji with the Fiji Sandwich. It was also what would have been Julia Child’s 100th and I celebrated with none other than Boeuf Bourguignon. The list goes on and on with great recipes. So have a look into the archives of August 2012, it is fun to look back.
I decided to share with you today again our Poppycock recipe. It may not be a traditional one as I was told not to add peanuts and only just almonds, or pecans or walnuts but I like the mix of all the nuts together. It is a great recipe and I adore the creamy buttery caramel with popcorn and nuts. A real treat!!! ENJOY!!
