St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail
Not everyone likes beer or coffee so I came up with this wonderful St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail sipper (I actually guzzled it, it was so good). The cocktail involved a little craft as well, making the swizzle stick. The craft stores are filled with punches for every shape and size.
I love St. Patrick’s Day, being 1/2 Irish I grew up eating a lot of Irish food. My Irish grandmother did most of the cooking in our house when I was growing up!
I used Amber’s oval punch with cream scrapbook paper to cut out the oval. I then used a green piece of scrapbook paper to punch out the shamrock. Once you have invested in these punches you will find lots of uses for them. I then used glue dots that come in different shapes and sizes that are used for scrapbooking.
I don’t scrapbook in the traditional sense. Sometimes I will do some digital scrapbooking but I love these glue dots for so many other crafts. They come in long strips of paper and you just have to touch your project to them and they peel off the paper they come on.
So I used one to glue the shamrock on and then another to glue the oval onto a skewer that was snipped down to a size that will work in your glass.
This St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail drink recipe is very easy. It was sweet and could be adjusted with club soda instead of 7 up.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!
