Teriyaki Burgers
Not all burgers need a bun, like these Teriyaki Burgers. Need a quick fix for dinner tonight? Here is a great idea for a fast and very tasty dinner. I forget where I first saw this recipe but I remember thing we have to give it a try!
After the first time, we have loved this recipe for years!! When you have frozen burgers in the freezer but are tired of having them the same old way give this recipe a try, you will love it!!
Recipe
Serves 2
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
4 medium portobello mushrooms, stems removed and discarded and sliced
1 Tbsp. butter
2 ready-made frozen burgers
2 Tbsp. teriyaki sauce
Heat butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add the frozen burgers. Cook 2 min. then turn the burgers over. Scatter onions and mushrooms around the burgers and cook for 2 min. Turn the burgers again.
Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently. cook for 3 min. Turn burgers again and cook for another 3 min. or until desired doneness. Remove burgers and turn the heat back up to medium-high, add the teriyaki sauce and cook for 2 min. Spoon the mushroom sauce over the burgers. Great served with a salad.
