What I don't like is hard, greasy fried rice. This recipe is easy and gives you fluffy, not greasy rice every time. Plus, you don't have to plan ahead to make great fried rice; this recipe uses warm, not cold rice.
2cupsuncooked ricecooked with salt and a pat of butter
2Tbsp.butterdivided
1/2medium onionfinely diced
1Tbsp.garlicminced
1/2green peppersmall diced
1cupfrozen peas and carrotsthawed
Sauce
5Tbsp.soy sauce
2tsp.oyster sauce
1/2tsp.sesame oil
2Green onionchopped for garnish
Instructions
Cook rice according to package in a rice cooker or stovetop. Fluff and leave to cool slightly.
Meanwhile, In a very large skillet melt 1 Tbsp. butter and saute onion and garlic until soft. Add the other Tbsp. butter and cook the green pepper for a couple of minutes and then add the carrots and peas and heat through.
Add the cooked rice. Stir the sauce together and add. Stir well to coat evenly. Garnish with green onion.
