Tara Noland
This Amazing Mint Chocolate Pie is perfect for the holiday season. The combination of mint and chocolate is a classic flavor and enjoyed by so many. This pie is fudgy, rich, and will kill that holiday sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 1 9- inch pie crust I used homemade
  • 2 ounces unsweetened dark chocolate
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract or peppermint extract
  • ¼ teaspoon table salt
  • ½ cup mint chocolate candy baking chips

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare an unbaked 9-inch pie crust.
  • In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter on medium-low heat.
  • Add sugar, eggs, flour, mint extract, and salt. Mix with a wire whisk.
  • Pour filling into prepared, unbaked pie crust, and spread to cover the bottom.
  • Sprinkle mint chocolate chips on top of pie filling.
  • Bake pie for 45-55 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the edges of the filling start to crack.
  • Let stand at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Serve with whipped cream, mint chocolate candy curls, and chocolate syrup.

Notes

*The pie is good served when cooled or refrigerated with whipped cream (my favorite) or heated and served with ice cream.
