- 2 ciabatta rolls
- 5 tablespoons salted butter room temperature
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic *see Baker’s notes*
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
Butter a 6-inch pan set aside. I use the pizza pan that came with the accessories for my Cosori 5,8 QT.
Cut each roll into 16 pieces. Each roll is a square. I slice 4 equal slices, then each slice into 4, which will lead to 16 pieces, about 3 cups. So, each bite is like 2 bites.
Put all pieces into a mixing bowl and set them aside.
In a small saucepan, over medium heat, melt the butter. You can also use a small bowl and microwave the butter.
Mix in the garlic powder, crushed garlic, and dried parsley. Stir in until all blended.
Pour over the bread pieces and mix until all coated.
Put half of the bread pieces in the bottom of the prepared pan, sprinkle shredded mozzarella to cover.
Add remaining bread pieces. Top with cheese.
Put in the air fryer.
Cook 330-degree F for 5 minutes or until golden.
Baker's Notes:
Ciabatta rolls: The reason for taking ciabatta is for the texture and how it absorbs the garlic taste. You can substitute with other fresh denser bread. Cuban bread (found in some parts of the US), french bread, Italian bread, or a baguette are other good choices.
Crushed Garlic: Can be substituted with any other brand of crushed garlic or 2 fresh garlic cloves crushed. I would not recommend minced dry garlic as it gives the garlic taste to the butter.
Mozarella: Can be substituted for any cheese of your liking. I like shredding it myself as it melts better. Pre-shredded cheese has a coating of cornstarch to keep it fresh and will hinder the melting and great cheese pull that you want with a pull-apart recipe. You can also add in some finely grated Parmesan cheese too.
