Air Fryer Roast Chicken
This succulent Air Fryer Roast Chicken is dressed up gorgeously in a butter mustard rub and crisped up in honey to finish. The chicken is tender and juicy inside and makes a wonderful dinner any time!

- 1 whole chicken 1 kg / 2.20 lbs
- Sea salt and black pepper
- 4 garlic cloves peeled
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- 2 garlic cloves peeled and chopped
Preheat the Air Fryer to 320 F / 160 C and line a parchment paper at the bottom.
Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place chicken on a large plate. Season the whole chicken and under the skin with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, mix mustard, butter, thyme, parsley, and garlic. Rub the mustard mixture on the chicken outside and inside the cavity. With the help of your fingers, also rub under the skin.
Stuff cavity with 4 garlic cloves.
Place chicken in the Air Fryer basket upside down and roast the chicken for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, turn the chicken on the other side. Roast for 20 minutes, remove the basket and pour honey on top of the chicken and brush gently. Place the basket back and roast for another 10-15 minutes.
Open Air Fryer halfway and let the chicken rest for 10 – 15 minutes before carving and serving.
Serve with your favorite side dish and the pan juices from the Air Fryer.
