Marinated Feta Recipe

Try this fresh and delicious Marinated Feta cheese to serve at your next family gathering. It is great because it is so easily portable.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Feta cheese
  • 3/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Peel of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper freshly cracked
  • Crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  • Pat the feta dry and cut into bite-sized cubes.
  • In a clean jar or small container, layer the feta with garlic slices, lemon zest, herbs, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour olive oil over everything until the feta is fully submerged.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, ideally 24 hours, for the flavors to fully infuse.
  • Bring to room temperature before serving.
