For the Smoky Sauce: In a small saucepan, heat the canola oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent. Add the remaining ingredients and let simmer for 10 min. Let cool and then whirl in a blender. The sauce will be thick. Delicious with steak!
For the Sweet Sauce: Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is transparent. Add the remaining ingredients and let simmer for 10 min. Let cool, we kept this sauce slightly chunky rather than whirling in a blender. Gorgeous on ribs!
For the Spicy Sauce: Heat the canola oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is transparent. Add the remaining ingredients and let simmer for 10 min. Let cool and whirl in a blender. Perfect for BBQ wings!
