Creamed Cabbage

This is one of our absolutely favorite recipes. We have it every St. Patrick’s Day with a green beer. This is a must-try recipe for anyone wanting to celebrate this holiday!!!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 medium head of cabbage cut into small wedges
  • 1/4-1/2 cup light cream
  • Freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large skillet.
  • Add cabbage, cover, and saute until slightly browned or charred, 4-5 min.
  • Carefully turn over and brown the other side, 3-4 min.
  • Add cream and heat until slightly thickened, 2 min.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. The cabbage turns so sweet when cooking it this way.
