Ingredients

For the Salmon

  • 4 5-6 oz salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Cream Cheese Sauce

  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp milk or water to thin as needed
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Lox-Inspired Salad

  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup cucumber thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 small red onion very thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/3 cup capers drained
  • 4 radishes thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 °F. Pat salmon dry and place the fillets on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Rub each fillet with olive oil. Then, sprinkle generously with Everything Bagel Seasoning, pressing it lightly onto the surface.
  • Bake for 12 - 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until flaky and cooked through.

Make the Cream Cheese Sauce

  • In a bowl or small food processor, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, Dijon, and garlic. Add milk or water, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the sauce becomes drizzleable. Season with salt, pepper and dill. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Make the salad

  • In a large bowl, add mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, thinly sliced radish and capers.
  • Whisk together lemon juice, olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss the salad lightly.

Assembly

  • Divide the salad among plates or serve salmon in a large dish over the salad. Drizzle generously with the cream cheese sauce. Add a few extra capers or fresh dill for garnish and serve.
