Everything Bagel Seasoning Salmon Ingredients

Recipe Ingredients
For the salmon
Everything Bagel Seasoning – You can use our Homemade Everything Bagel Seasoning or use a store-bought version. It will provide flavor and a crispy crust to the salmon. Ours is cheaper to make if you have the ingredients on hand.
Salmon fillets – Use fresh, skin-on or skinless fillets about 5–6 ounces each. Salmon is rich, flaky, and pairs beautifully with the savory crunch of the seasoning blend.
Olive oil – It helps the seasoning to stay in place while baking.
Salt and pepper – Adjust depending on how salty your Everything Bagel seasoning is.
Cream cheese – Is the base of the sauce, making it creamy and tangy.
Sour cream – Lightens the cream cheese and adds extra tang. Greek yogurt can also be used for a slightly lighter option.
Lemon juice – You’ll use it to thin the dressing and also to season the salad.
Dijon mustard – I love to include it in dressings due to its sharp and fresh taste.
Fresh garlic – Mince or grate it to ensure it blends well into the sauce.
Milk – We’ve used it to thin the sauce, but it’s up to your taste. You can also use water instead.
Fresh dill – Adds freshness and that classic deli-style flavor that pairs perfectly with salmon.
Fresh produce for the salad
Mixed greens – They make a fresh base that balances the richness of the salmon and sauce.
Cucumber – A typical ingredient in Lox salad, adding a refreshing, crispy bite.
Cherry tomatoes – They provide juiciness and light sweetness to the salad.
Red onion – You’ll need only a small one. Slice it thin for the best texture.
Avocado – Adds creaminess and healthy fats that complement the salmon beautifully.
Capers – Salty and briny, they enhance the lox-inspired flavor profile.
Radishes – Add crunch and a mild peppery bite for extra texture and color. Also popular in lox salads.
How to make Everything Bagel Crusted Salmon

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Pat salmon dry and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet pan.
Rub each fillet with olive oil. Sprinkle generously with Everything Bagel Seasoning, pressing it lightly onto the surface.
Bake for 12 – 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until flaky and cooked through.

In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, Dijon, and garlic. Add milk or water, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the sauce becomes drizzleable.
Season with salt, pepper, and dill. Then, refrigerate until ready to serve.

In a large bowl, add mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, thinly sliced radish and capers. Whisk together the vinaigrette and toss the salad lightly.
Divide the salad among plates or serve salmon in a large dish over the salad. Then, drizzle generously with the cream cheese sauce. Finally, add a few extra capers or fresh dill for garnish.
Recipe Pro Tips

Tips for perfectly cooked salmon
– Use even-sized fillets: Salmon pieces that are similar in thickness will cook evenly. If one piece is much thinner, it may overcook before the others are done.
– After sprinkling the Everything Bagel seasoning, lightly press it into the surface so it adheres and forms a flavorful crust.
– Bake at high heat: 400°F is ideal. It cooks the salmon quickly while keeping the inside tender, juicy and flaky.
– Watch the time: Most 1-inch thick fillets cook in 12–15 minutes. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches 125–130°F in the center for medium, or 140°F for fully cooked.
