Ingredients

  • 10.59 oz fun-size candy bars such as Snickers
  • ½ cup melting chocolates
  • Red rainbow confetti sprinkles or any small red candies
  • 16 oz bag thin pretzels

Instructions

  • Using a sharp knife, carefully carve 4 small holes on each side of a candy bar. Each hole should be just large enough to fit a pretzel piece.
  • Break off the rounded ends of the pretzels to make the legs. You’ll need 8 pieces (4 pretzels) per spider. Set aside.
  • Place melting chocolates in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power in 20-second intervals, stirring with a fork after each. Depending on your microwave, this will take 3-6 intervals. Stop heating when most pieces are melted and only a few small lumps remain, they’ll melt with stirring. Avoid overheating.
  • Working one leg at a time, dip the end of a pretzel piece into the melted chocolate and gently insert it into one of the carved holes. Repeat until all legs are attached. Place the candy bar upside down (legs sticking up) and let the chocolate set for 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the legs are secure, flip the spider right side up. Use a toothpick or a broken pretzel end to dot two small spots of melted chocolate where the eyes will go. Quickly press red sprinkles or candies onto the chocolate before it sets.

See the post for more information, photos and tips.
The nutritional calculation was off as the calculator only had large sized Snickers. So it is not displayed, sorry.
