Ingredients

  • 1 lbs fresh green beans washed and trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper plus more for finishing
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1/3 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Spread the green beans out on a large baking sheet in a single layer and toss with olive oil and Kosher salt.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes. Toss the beans and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the beans are crispy and tender.
  • Sprinkle the minced garlic and 1/4 tsp of fresh ground pepper over the beans and toss again.
  • Top the beans with the grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven and broil for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted. (make sure you watch it closely, as it will burn quickly under the broiler)
  • Once the cheese is melted, sprinkle the crispy fried onions over the cheese and return to the oven (not the broiler), and heat until the onions are just warmed, 1 – 2 minutes. You can just put these in the shut off oven that is still warm.
  • Enjoy!
