Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups AP flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the vanilla, egg, egg yolk, and peanut butter and mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between them.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
