- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. dried granulated orange peel optional
- 5 cups apples peeled and sliced
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
Topping
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup butter
Mix the topping ingredients together, cutting the butter in. Set aside.
Whisk together the white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, ginger, and granulated orange peel.
Toss with the apples. Put the apples into the slow cooker. Pour in the juice of 1/2 lemon.
Place topping ingredients on apples.
Cover and cook for 4 hours on low.
