Slow Cooker Sausage and Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. kielbasa sausage any kind will work
  • 1.5 lbs.Terrific Trio Little Potatoes whole
  • 6 cups purple cabbage sliced
  • 1 sweet onion coarsely chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic minced
  • ½ tsp Kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional or less to taste
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 10 oz egg noodles
  • Parsley or dill to garnish

Instructions

  • Slice the kielbasa into 3/8 inch pieces and lightly brown in a non-stick skillet on the stovetop over medium heat.
  • Add the sausage to the slow cooker along with the Terrific Trio Little Potatoes and all the other ingredients except the egg noodles and parsley/dill.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, do not open the lid during the cooking time.
  • Just before you are ready to serve cook the egg noodles as per the package directions.
  • Stir the potatoes, cabbage, and kielbasa, divide the noodles between the bowls, spoon the potato mixture over top. Garnish with parsley or dill.
