Ingredients to make our Cucumber Salad

Cucumber salad ingredients.

Recipe Ingredients

To make this salad, you’ll need only a few common ingredients:

Water and white wine vinegar – This is the base mixture where you’re going to soak the sliced cucumber in.

Sugar and salt – The sugar provides a hint of sweetness while salt enhances the overall flavor of this easy cucumber salad.

Cucumber – A thinly sliced cucumber is the king of the recipe. Any type would work, such as American or English cucumbers. We like it unpeeled, but you can peel it if preferred. You can run a fork down the side of the cucumber to make it look slightly fancy. The vinegar mixture also penetrates more so.

Dill – This herb is the queen of the recipe; it provides a licorice flavor that gives it a characteristic touch.

Add the sliced cucumber and chopped fresh dill to the bowl. Gently toss everything together until evenly coated.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least a few hours, or overnight, to let the flavors develop.
