Want a classy cocktail for the holidays or anytime? This French Martini is something to impress, yet very simple to make. It does take slightly uncommon alcohols (Vanilla Vodka and Chambord), but that effort is well worth the expense, as you will be making this libation over and over again.

What is in a French Martini?

Three simple ingredients plus some fresh raspberries are all you need to make this amazingly delicious cocktail. You will also need coupe or martini glasses, a pick and a cocktail shaker.
Chambord – Chambord is a luxurious French black raspberry liqueur that’s rich, fruity, and slightly sweet. It is famous for its deep purple color and elegant gold-trimmed bottle shaped like a royal orb.
Vanilla Vodka – This upped the French vodka to a new level. I loved the hint of vanilla in this cocktail.
Pineapple juice – This adds just the right sweetness and fruitiness to the cocktail.
Fresh raspberries – These are optional, but really make a difference in the curb appeal of the cocktail.
How to Make a French Martini

Place a martini glass in the freezer to chill while you prepare the cocktail.
Place a good amount of ice into the bottom of a shaker.
Add all the ingredients to the shaker. Place the glass on top and shake for 30 seconds.

Strain into the chilled martini glass and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh raspberries.

Enjoy (responsibly).

Recipe Pro Tips

A Little History
Despite its name, the French Martini isn’t old or French; it was created in New York in the 1980s during the vodka martini craze. The “French” part comes from the Chambord, which is made in France.
Can I Make more than one cocktail at a time?
Yes, you can, but it depends on the size of your shaker! A smaller one, like shown, is easier to deal with and makes one cocktail at a time. A large one would accommodate two cocktails.
