What do you put in an Entertaining Snack Platter?

Halloween Platter Ideas ingredients

Let one of these platters be your party favor, and let them mingle right into your Halloween decor. Place a Jack o Lantern nearby for a spooky effect. You could even have one for after trick or treating filled with healthy snacks like fruit and vegetables.

You don’t even need much for Halloween party supplies to create one of these platters, although a plastic spider or two do go a long way.

As for the snacks, we stayed monochromatic, but you can use your favorites too from the candy dish!

How to Make a Fun Halloween Platter

For your Halloween serving tray or serving platter, start with something that is simple that won’t distract from your food. A large pizza pan for Jack Skellington works well, and a simple wooden cheese board for the skull works great too. Most people have these items around the house, or you could also borrow one from a friend or neighbor for the night that you want to make your party platter.

To begin your party platters, always start with the eye shape and mouth, then work your way out from there. Think of colors, textures, and shapes when you are assembling the platter.

Next, take almond bark or melting chocolate, and in a double boiler, melt the chocolate down or alternatively microwave it in a microwave-safe bowl in short increments of 20-30 seconds and stir after each increment until melted.

Once melted, remove from heat and carefully spoon into a piping bag or ziplock bag. (No need for a piping tip), cut the tip to the size of a pencil point. Be careful, as the chocolate will start to flow. Cutting a smaller hole is always best, as you can still cut a larger one if needed.

Pipe on the mouth and eyebrows and any other elements you like!

Your platters are done! As you can see, you can go for the candy route or with the skull, more fruit, nut, and cheese. Lastly, it is now time to enjoy the party or a great movie night!
