Ginger Beer

Cranberry Juice

We love making cocktail recipes and this one is refreshing and wonderful! Everyone can enjoy this beverage as it makes an excellent mocktail too hence by just leaving out the vodka. To be a true Moscow Mule you have to serve it up in the traditional copper mugs.

The tangy cranberry juice cocktail is offset perfectly with the sweet and spicy ginger beer giving it a festive and fun flavor!

Moscow Mule Recipe Variations

Cranberry Moscow Mule

The cocktail I have for you today is just like the original which was concocted back in 1941 by John G. Martin and Jack Morgan except for one change, the cranberry juice.

This brings it fully into the holiday season. To be a true Moscow Mule all you need is vodka, ginger beer and lime juice with lots of ice.

I added the cranberries juice and frozen cranberries, which takes this cocktail to another level of fabulous.

Cranberry Moscow Mule

The mule was not born in Russia but in Los Angeles at the Cock and Bull, where Jack Morgan was the proprietor. A very popular restaurant on Sunset Boulevard among the celebrities.

Cranberry Moscow Mule

Have the mug filled with ice and add in your vodka, cranberry juice, ginger beer, and fresh lime juice. Then top with frozen or fresh cranberries and a lime wedge and cocktails are served!!

I hope you enjoy this cocktail with family and friends this year!! Happy Holidays!!

It is a non alcoholic beverage like ginger ale but much more spicy. We have it in our local grocery store.

I can’t say that I have ever heard of this before, but I can say that it looks really good. I love a good cocktail. It seems like the best ones have a lot of fruit, just like this one.

Good Morning Tara, Oh my word, you have taken me back in time. The first time I enjoyed a Moscow Mule was about 30 years ago, but then it seemed to fall out of fashion for a while. I love the addition of the cranberries, so I am going to resurrect this drink and see if the flavours are the same as I remember them.
    Have a lovely day today.
    Best Wishes

Our local bar and grill makes these during the holidays, but they add a rosemary sprig for decoration.
