Campari Spritz is a bold and refreshing cocktail with a perfect balance of bitter, bubbly, and citrusy flavors. Campari’s signature herbal bitterness is softened by the crisp, dry notes of Prosecco, while soda water lightens the drink, making it incredibly refreshing. The orange wedge adds a touch of natural sweetness and enhances the bright citrus aroma.

Love light cocktails like this one, then try our Vodka Cucumber Cocktail with Melon or our Vodka Slush.

Campari Spritz Ingredients

Ingredients.

Ingredients

Campari – This is an Italian aperitif. It is very distinctive in its flavor and is the major component in a Negroni cocktail also.

Prosecco – Get a brand that you like, but it should be Italian, as that is where Prosecco is from.

Soda water – This adds to the freshness of the cocktail and lightens it up.

Ice cubes – You want this cocktail icy and tall.

Orange slices – These are best sliced into half moons. This is really needed in the cocktail as it gives it a bit of sweetness and orange aroma.

Orange peel – Cut and twirled for garnish.

How to Make a Campari Spritz

Recipe Pro Tips

Cocktail with oranges in the background.

Classic Ratio

Use a simple formula:
3 parts prosecco : 2 parts Campari : 1 part soda water

Use Plenty of Ice

Fill your glass with ice to keep the drink cold and properly diluted.

Garnish with Fresh Citrus

An orange slice or twist enhances the citrus notes and balances the bitterness.

Use Good Prosecco

A dry or extra-dry prosecco works best to balance Campari’s bitterness.

Campari Spritz Recipe

Tara Noland
In this classic Campari spritz cocktail, the bitterness of Campari is softened by dry prosecco and a splash of soda, creating a sophisticated drink that’s both refreshing and complex. Garnished with slices of orange, this Italian spritz is ideal for warm weather, happy hour, or entertaining.
