Amber’s New Harry Potter Room and a Butterbeer

If you know Amber well you know she is a Harry Potter freak. Ever since her seeing the first movie she was hooked. She has slowly moved her way through the books savouring every page. She just finished her fifth book and has now started on the sixth “The Half Blood Prince”. Her room had become outdated with big flowers, lady bugs and fairies. So it kind of was a no brain-er to go to a Harry Potter themed room. I will show you in the pictures below the incredible artistic paintings by Angie Rees of Eye Wonder. Amber was lucky enough to be able to design her own room and work with Angie to create these master pieces of exactly what she had in mind. A room that any Harry Potter fan would absolutely love. Also included is Ken’s rendition of a Butterbeer. The closest we could get to the real thing out of Harry Potter World. I hope you enjoy the magical ride through Hogwarts!!

Butterbeer

Serves 4

4 bottles Stewart’s Old Fashioned Cream Soda
1 cup whipping cream
3 Tbsp. Berry sugar
Pinch of nutmeg
Cinnamon to taste

Whip the cream until soft peaks and add in the sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Whip until stiff peaks. Pour the cream soda into a mug and top with ice and then a dollop of the whipped cream. As you are drinking it stir the whipped cream into the soda. So very good.

Here are the pictures of how Amber’s room was transformed into Hogwarts.

  1. LOVE the room. I can’t wait to try this. We loved the Butterbeer we had at the Harry Potter World at Universal Orlando. We have been wanting it at home:)

  2. What!!!??!!?? That Harry Potter room is so freakin awesome!! I am so jealous! I grew up on Harry Potter and love everything about the books and have tried my hand at making a few different versions of butterbeer too – it’s so delicious! Great post!

  3. Tara,
Oh my goodness what a lucky young lady! I love it. I too love the Harry Potter movies and now I want this room too. What a great idea for a study or den too. Thanks so much for linking up to Creative Thursday last week. I can’t wait to see what you link up next. Have a great week.
